World Vision began its work in the Chinese Mainland in 1982, responding to severe floods in Qinghai. Since then, with the support of the central and local governments, we have expanded our efforts to serve children and communities in need across the country.
In 1993, we established the World Vision China office to strengthen our commitment to long-term community development and humanitarian work.
OUR MISSION
We are committed to improving the well-being of vulnerable children by addressing the challenges they face and supporting their communities. Through sustainable development, advocacy, and emergency response, we strive to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.
WHERE WE WORK
Today, World Vision China operates in seven provincial-level regions, with a dedicated team of nearly 80 staff members. We work closely with government agencies, civil society organizations, businesses, academic institutions, donors, and volunteers to implement child-focused, community-based programs that bring lasting, meaningful change.
