Xiaoxi, 11 years old, said seriously, "On TV, I saw people all over the country voluntarily quarantined themselves at home. I saw warm-hearted people donated epidemic prevention supplies without considering personal gains and losses. I saw medical workers from different regions take risk and go to Hubei Province. I saw frontline people against the epidemic stuck to their post and kept fighting. These scenes deeply moved me."

The outbreak of COVID-19 caught people off guard on the Spring Festival in 2020. It not only blocked countless people's way home, but also put people's health in danger. Xiaoxi lived in a small village in Longxian County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, and her village also set checking points and blocked the road to stop anyone from entering or leaving the village.

Her father worked outside all year round, and he returned to the village at the beginning of December. Owing to the pandemic, her father had to stay at home and spend time with family, setting the concern about family's economic condition aside. Every day, Xiaoxi finished her homework carefully at home. In her spare time, she watched favorite TV programs and did some exercise together with her parents. As school days were around the corner, her parents were a bit upset. They worried that Xiaoxi couldn't take good preventive measures after going back to school which would increase the risk of coronavirus infection. With parents' worries, Xiaoxi returned to school. Back to school, she found that the school received donations of many epidemic prevention gear, and she and her classmates received masks, Family Packs and health education booklet provided by World Vision.

There was an electronic thermometer, hand sanitizer, two soaps, towel and tissue in the Family Pack, which were most needed. Seeing these supplies, Xiaoxi felt much relieved. Her home is far away, so she is boarded in the school. The soap, towel and electronic thermometer are all very useful for her. She had not used instant hand sanitizer before, so she was a little confused. "Usually sanitizers need water to wash, but why is the one provided by World Vision different? Can it protect me against bacteria and viruses?" The teacher explained the principle and usage of hand sanitizer to students, and demonstrated details and washing methods. She has no doubt anymore. She said, "This hand sanitizer is very convenient and our hands become very clean."

She opened the health education booklet, in which there were lots of useful knowledge of epidemic prevention, and she learnt it carefully with classmates. The electronic thermometer in the Family Pack was fit to take their temperature every day. "It's quick and accurate." She took her temperature quickly with the thermometer and told it to the teacher. With the Family Pack, Xiaoxi and her classmates felt much relieved.
